Ok, so no one seems interested in my rantings and advice on make up.  I do not care, I am going to pretend I have an audience of people who are interested in the bauty if simply being a woman. It just so happens I  am that sort (as Pooh would say).

So, what to talk about?  Beats me I guess I could start oth my morning routine.
I get up around 5-5:30 AM everyday, pick out my clothes  shower, do my hair, appldy makeup strategically trying not to get mascara all over me (HA!) then check the temperature.  Lately it has done nothing but SNOW and BLOW here on the shores of Lake Erie.  I then make morning coffee (I love Tm Horton's coffee with sugar and dark chocolate) and finally decide what to do to stay busy while I am 'land locked' in my house because it is 3 degrees F outside.

Hi there beautiful and lovely people!  Merry Christmas to all of you.  I'm just wondering what I should blog about and I thought I would try to include a video of my new hair style I call the 'Tude" basically because it is a running joke my hair dresser and I have  Elaine (who styles my hair), told me that it takes an artsy gal with  certain kind of personality and  'attitude' to wear her hair this way.  Well, I said what the heck, why don't I go bolder with color AND cut.  I did and I absolutely LOVE it!
I have to admit it took just a bit of getting used to since it has been roughly5 years since I styled my hair differently other than a never ending palette of different hair coloring fazes/

OMG!  I am going to (after 15 or so years), change my hairstyle and REALLY change the color.  This all came about because I was sittiing in my hairdressers place and she was doing a 'regular' and it hit me.  The women ALWAYS play it safeand ask for the same thing (Please understand, I see nothing wrong with this they feel comfortable with things not changing.  Well, I had to get my hair cut and eventually dyed anyway SO I also happened to have the latest short hair style book in my lap.
Long story short...I found an asymmetrical cut I absolutely LOVE!!
I have never tried doing that before and I can't wait!!!

Well, I am back.   Sorry it has been so long.  Some of you know (if you keep up with my blog(s)) that I returned to college (retaking a painting and drawing class I took for credit back in 1989 when I graduated with a BA in English)..  This has sucked up ALOT of the time I used to allow for my senseless jibberty jab about such silly things such as make up and writing.

Needless to say I HAVE MISSED YOU!!!  My goodness, what would I do without my loveable cyber buddies?  Actually there was a brand new ULTA store opening in a neighboring state which was AMAZING (I was the first person in the door on their first day) which turned out NOTT to be the grand opening (BUMMER!)  BUT>>>>The following Friday was and of course I was one of the first 100 customers.  I received as a free gift a complimentary gel manicure which I am having done on the 10th of October.  I can't wait, it says it is a $35 value.

Yes, I admit I spent too much money on eye shadow palettes.  But you don't understand the colors (see attached photos) the colors are absolutely FIERCE!  That is my new favorite and often used word these days.  Truly they are the most pigmented colors I have yet to see.

This is the besest brush for applying bronzer I have ever found.  Trust me, you need one!  Next to it are the four (Yes, that would be four - so I had  to cut corners severely) I purchased and I do not regret at all.  Below is a shot of the luscious colors held secretely within,

The only problem I have is which one I want to use as they are all so beautiful.  Al I know is I am pretty sure I wear too much make up for someone my age,  I have something to confess I can't seem to find the right color or tone for my skin as I have two tones going on, SO I have been mixing (layering) 5 different foundations on top of each other to get the right blend and I believe I have finally found the right mixture and the correct order in which oo apply them

Anyway, I have been FORCING myself to get back into art journaling, which I have been successful at thus far.   A few of my attempts are on facebook for your amusement or enjoyment.  I honestly don't know how I got all of my work done when I was a actual 'student' way back then since I have gotten older, that campus sure does seem as thogh they have added more stairs to the art building, thank God there is an elevator!

Okay, so absoltely nothng is new with me except I am going back to college to take an art course and I am very excited about it.  I have been too busy lately running around getting the parking permit, signatures, and art materials that I m missing from the first time I took this course (yes, I took it almost 30 YEARS ago! and retaking it just for fun!).  I am an alumni of this college and I have been wanting to do this for quite ssome time and I figured this is my birthday gift to myslf, the gift of knowledge.  Next to the gift of travel I think it is the best!

We have to choose either oils or acrylics.  With all this spare time I have, I thought I would try and do both.  I know, what am I nuts?  I will say one thing art materials have tripledin price!!!  OMG!!!  Thankfully I still had all the art supplies I had when I first took the same art courses.  I counted the pain brushes I have maanaged to accunulate over all the art courses I have akken and quit counting when I reached 100.

The only thing I can't seem to find is the specific paper the course syllabus is calling for.  This is going to have to wait until I can get  to the campus bookstore.  Why am I telling you this?  I guess because I am bored and feel like sharing my insignigficant world with you.

BTW, I am going to Ulta and I will have new things to blog about when I return from my vacation.

I haven't forgotten you, my little chickadees  I have been busily re-accessing my life's goals and have decided to go back to college!  I still can't believe I am going to (granted I took the course 20 years ago) take art 105, the very beginning art class again this time with a different professor.  I am sure I'll learn a lot of new thing and I am looking forward to it.

Yes, I intend on keeping my Blue Eyes Beauty blog and Youtube channel.  I don't know what to do about the style of 'face' I will wear, but I will keep my mind open to this new challenge.  I have been considering doing a vlog during my commute and/or my classroom. I am not sure yet, but will let you know ASAP!

BTW, Wet and Wild has a new fall blush out and the CVS in my own had one on the shelf AND it was broken!  AARRGGHHH!!!  It was the color I have been desperately searching for and they wouldn't even sell it to me as damaged goods, the jerk!  Now I hhave to find someone somewhere who has this color.  Maybe Walmart will have it (I hope).

I have been wearing falsies (eyelashes) off and on and I 'think' I'm getting better at it, but I won't give up yet.  I don't want you to give up on whatever you might be having problems with.  I fnallly discovered the right technique for applying foundation with the right coverage for me.  It is made up of a combination of five different foundations I build up in layers and set with loose translucent powder.  I really how flawless it looks.

I have also gotten a better handle on sculpting and contouring my face with the wet and wild 'Bikini Contest' bronzer.  Other than that, not much else t report.

until next time, sweet dreams my little angels

My thoughts on turning 50 (dear God I cannot believe I said that!)

It is not so much the fact that that is one half of a hundred, but the fact is I am facing a dilemma.  There are SO MANY choices and I feel as though I don't have enough time to finish all of them!

Case in point.  I have a s^&^t load of make up and how do I use every single color at least once?  I guess the answer to this is change my make up 'face' at least three times a day or admire them in their respective containers.  I have swatched just about everyone of them and I am in love with them all.  Maybe I should tell you what I am love, love, loving at the moment.  Ok, that sounds reasonable to me so let's do that.

First I apply Garnier's  Moisture Rescue, I find this to be better in the summertime because it a light moisture replenisher compared to the Loreal Age Perfect I use in late summer up until spring (when the weather is cooler).  I live in western New York State where the weather gets pretty damned cold and windy therefore drying my skin more than it already is.

Next is Revlon's Photoready facial primer, then Lancôme's foundation, my color is 'Bisque' and it is absolutely decadent!!!  I just LOVE Lancôme!!!

Next I apply my blush, using Wet 'n Wild's Coloricon bronzer SPF 15 in 'Bikini Contest' as a  contouring color which I use with Maybelline's Fitme in color, 'Deep Wine' and I found that  these two colors blend together REALLY well using my Tarte bronzing brush.

Then I use Lancôme's Bienfait Multi-Vital Eye illuminator on my upper cheek bone  above the blush and also on my brow bone.

Eye shadow, liner, fake lashes come next not in any particular order but usually the lashes come last even though once they are in the right place (which seems like it takes forever) I usually end up re-applying my eye make up.  This eye process takes a long time some days.

Lastly, I whisk on about 3 different shades of plum, brandy  and/or wine lipstick and FINALLY give a fresh 4 spritzes of La Vie Belle  (sic) by Lancôme of course.

And that, in short is my day usually.

Fascinating new way to 'put your face on'!

This simply cannot wait because I never even thought of trying this until I read about it in my first issue of my new Allure magazine I received when I signed up in the Ulta store down the shore.

The magazine article is entitled "One and Only" and what caught my attention was the predominant make up color of a 'wine' tone.  If you didn't guess already, I'm really into wines, purples, dusky roses this season.  Currently I am LOVING Maybelline's 'Deep wine' blush  .

The article says to try using just ONE SHADE of product which I am assuming is lipstick, eye shadow and blush in all 'like' tones with little tonal variation among them  For instance, I have chosen to try using the wine blush as blush, eye shadow and lipstick which (if I understand it correctly) will also be in the same color FAMILY.  So, I have to find eye shadow and lipstick in the same spectrum.  Okay, this can be a bit confusing I know I am a bit confused about this already, but I will use the model as a point of reference).

At least if it looks like sh^t I can always wash it off and start over.

As far as this seasons colors are concerned, I can't wait to see them!  I hope there are some gold tones too with all the other colors.

Mauves are always a nice addition to your make up seasonal 'look'.   Sally Hanseen and elf cosmetics have a few nice mauves available right now.  A combination I am going to try is to pair a deep shimmery bronzer as my contour shade (such as 'Tantakizer' by Lorac.  I am in LOVE, LOVE, LOVE with this product.  It is especially a great mate to the Deep Wine by Maybelline.

I think I have an Estee Lauder lipstick I have had for several years that will go just fine with the whole color scheme.

Along with the above tip, page 98 has a beautiful lipstick called, 'Tangier' that I really like aot!  I really do enjoy making myself lok good, even though in the beginning it took sm getting used to.

BTW, I was just notified that my July ipsy glam bag was in Secaucus, New Jersey this morning which means I should get it tomorrow!  I can't wait!

Ok, so this ewasn't the blog I  had planned, but I had to share the 'beauty' try out of the week (or month that is0.

Grab a copy of Allure and check it out.  There are a lot of useful artiles in it

Until my next blog I wish you all a blissful good night.

What am I going to wear?

I'm sure this has come up in your life  a time or two, and it has now blossomed in my 'world'.  Yes, ladies, I have to decide what to wear this coming week to a crafting class I will be attending.  As far as dressing accordingly to the weather goes - I'm screwed since it has not stopped raining and this has been a lousy 'outdoor do anything' summer.  I am faced with the dilemma of trying to appear 'put together' in the midst of the hellish awful humidity we have been having.

The only thing I have decided in is the pair of sensible purple New Balance sneakers as I have quite a distance to walk in order to get to the classroom with all my stuff.  I definitely will not be sans makeup!

No, this glamorous gal will be sporting an early autumn look.  Maybelline has put out a color (Deep Wine) of blush that I find utterly irresistible!   Check it out, I'm guessing it is part of their Fall collection and if it is, I can't wait to see the rest!  I am going to come up with an 'autumn' loork with purple/blue tones and perhaps a smidge of gold.  I, of course, realize no one gives a crap about what I am wearing, but you know what?  I simply do not care.

Try to do something you think 'others' might think to be 'out of line'', 'out of the norm', just be yourself and go out there and be YOURSELF!  Come on, I practically gave you permission by telling (and showing you) how to apply false eye lashes.  we're a work in progress and I am not about to let you waste your life living with 'what ifs?' and the unforgiveable 'I wish I would haves...'!

Deep breath ladies,  heads held high onward!

Next up on tomorrow's blog post - make up wake up!
